December Daily album snapshots

Merry Christmas!  It came and went so quickly - and I was sick for it, too!  Fever, body aches, the works.  Below are a few more pages from my December Daily Album.

Day 11:  Mark and I light our first (teeny-tiny) Christmas Tree

Day 12: Dinner at The Capital Grill

Day 13:  Girl's Night, Risotto & Cookie Decorating

Day 22:  Our "Real" Family Photo/Christmas Card

December 24:  Christmas Eve
I love this photo.  For one of my Christmas Presents, Mana & Papa gave me Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0. We took a family photo of everyone on my mom's side of the family.  I uploaded the photo to photoshop and had fun with it.

Days 9 & 10

Day 9....Coming home to the Shiba...Simba always jumps up and down when I get home from work and wants to play.  Her version of playing is running really fast around the entire house and then wrestling for the "squeaking beaver."

Day 10... The most interesting "Totem Pole" in the world

Another Day 8

Another Day 8... The boys are having a lot of fun with the Advent Calendar.  This day's "gift" was "Flarp," a gak-play dough-like goop that makes - you guessed it- farting noises when you play with it.  Go figure.  Brens is 11 and Kevin is 16...and they fought with Mike (14) over who got to play with the flarp!

Days 7 & 8

Day 7:  Our First Snow!

Dec. 8: The Christmas Tree is finally up...yet unadorned...as Brendan curls underneath it

I really enjoy the process of creating my December Daily Album.  Today, while walking my Shiba Inu, Simba, I found myself enjoying the big, white snowflakes falling and packing beneath my feet.  I am noticing details in my everyday living that make this season even more "magical."  The boys are having fun with the Advent Calendar, too.

Days 5 & 6

Day 5:  Uncle Tony & Aunt Pam's Ornament Party

 Day 6:  Sunday, Glorious Sunday

Gardening In December

These past few weeks have been very busy.  I put together some "Winter Containers" for my parents, family and friends.  At work we gave a "Winter Container Class" and I've been having fun with it ever since!

Day 4

Day 4.  I thought we'd have the perfect setting for a christmas card photo... Sarasota, Florida, the beach, & ocean.  Little did we know that the "nice tourist" who snapped our photos...took them all out of focus!  So this page is about our "would be" Christmas card...that we now have to re-take when my brother gets home from college.  Maybe we'll be sending a New Year's card instead.

This is what the page looked like before adding my jounraling/pictures.

Day 3

Day 3:  The ordinary happenings in the Blaney household.  Simba resting by the front door.  Brens smiling in the big leather chair.  The house all aglow.  Lil (mom) after a long day of teaching & podiatry.

December Daily Album

Inspired by one of my favorite scrapbooking artists, Ali Edwards, I created my own December Daily Album to celebrate each day leading up to Christmas.  I took a few pictures of the album before and after putting in my journaling and pictures.
